Gosh, there are way more than 3 for us!

I would probably have to say

1) lack of a garage (2 car minimum)
2) Flood zone
3) Backs onto or is on a major road (a big no-no with 3 young children!)

1. Super close (allowable county distance) to other houses

2. No garage

3. Only 1 bathroom

I have to add one more deal breaker. Sorry! There are a lot of older homes in our county. If the home is over 25 years old and has original EVERYTHING (plumbing, electrical, etc), that will turn us off as well. Unless of course, we can purchase the property at an amazing price and obtain a renovation loan to take care of the main components :-) That might change our view a bit.

Beyond location, schools and structural and/or safety issues.......

1. backs up to another house or busy road
2. no kitchen island or space to have one put in
3. no dedicated office for my husband (works from home and is a messy pack rat. i like to be able to close the door and not see it.)

Location which includes desirable area and not near a major road or other noise source like trains or flight path.

Garage

Neighborhood looks nice where others keep up their home and property

I have others but that is 3.

Looked at a house the other day and the neighbors had a dirt back yard with two large pit bulls and a dirt bike laying on its side -- and the fence was broken.

#1 is getting more and more important.
Used to work in an office in a cellular dead spot.
What a pain in the butt!

So, I often ask buyer clients, "How's your signal?"
