We don't often get happy updates here, but I joined C-D about a year ago to get real estate advice. Several realtors here were (and still are) very helpful.

Congratulations! I'm sure that being out of the country only added to the delays and to your frustrations. Being rid of the property is great news. Hopefully now the only albatross that you'll think of is over the ocean.
