Sounds kind of like getting a law degree, even though you just want to be a legal secretary.
Do you have admin experience? Have you applied at real estate offices? That would be my first move. You can also ask questions of the R.E. professionals regarding your need for a license.

Yeah I would check on the job search site indeed and put in keywords like real estate admin and the name of your city/town. You can see if they require a license, I have noticed some in my area do, but some don't.
Also one idea, but might depend on your area if there is new construction around is working in house selling for a home builder. I believe in these situations you are working with the business that the builder brings in from their marketing instead of doing cold calling or door knocking.
