this would be indicated by closed sales 30-60 days after each rate hike?

and each time they raised the rates, the # of Buyers went even further down.

But the data doesn't support this conclusion.

The market has already factored in a rate increase this month and one each quarter next year, with the long-range plan ending the hikes this time next year. Rising rates have always had a push for buyers to get in before the next increase. Funny how that happens. Then, when they start heading down, everyone is paralyzed, waiting for things to go lower. A good number of those (paralyzed) buyers are out there now, realizing they waited too long.
