Yes. I sold my condo in TX to a realtor/lawyer and her offer was discounted to reflect the missing commission in her favor. Since the bottom line was the same, I took it.

Well she liked it well enough that she wants to come back and bring her husband. This is exactly what I did when we bought the place.

We negotiated a 2% reduction on the price. That means I saved 4%, plus all the hassle of listing and showing. And that includes the fact that I was going to put some of our stuff in storage for the showings.
