So: how much does a 1-bedroom condo/apartment cost to buy in your area? If there are no condos where you live, then how much does a smaller house cost?
I know there can be huge differences depending on the neighborhoods, so it would be interesting to have the full range: how much does it cost in a nice area... and how much in the worst parts of town.
If you're in a mood to elaborate and give details about the neighborhoods, please feel free.
There are no 1 bedroom condos for sale in my area.
There are 6 2 bedroom condos. Start at one1050 sqft for $203k to $385k for a 1700 sqft one.
Condos are usually just apartments that have been turned into private ownership with an HOA. If they let you rent it out your renter is renting an apartment. They like to say they are renting a condo

You're changing your argument. Saying that condos are in "apartment style" buildings is very different from claiming condos are usually just apartments that have been turned into private ownership.
Also, on the topic of building style, I don't know if there's really all that much similarity there, either. It's sort of like saying dogs are like cats because they both have four legs. Apartments buildings are more like hotels. But, condos aren't really built in the same design. They might be like an office building in which there are large office suites, with one company per floor, or perhaps 2-4 if it's a large building.
The design difference has to do with how many units are put on each floor. Most condos are significantly bigger than apartments. As the posts here show it's possible to find tiny condos but those aren't really that common. Just like it's easy to find 1 BR apartments, but hard to find 1 BR condos; 2 or 3 bedrooms is much more typical. In most cities the typical condo is going to be at least 1200-2400 sf.

IMHO that's just silly. an airplane converted into housing can be a condo too. You can call it whatever you want, you can think you are fancy or better than someone else but most condos are apartments in buildings that are privately owned.
Condos certainly do differ in style, and while some may be apartment conversions, others were built specifically to be condominiums. Also, some units are attached, while others are not.
Here are a few detached units in my city (Aliso Viejo, CA) that probably don't match perhaps conventional thinking on what a condo/townhouse looks like. They are in the minority, as most condos/townhouses in this city are attached.
These are fairly typical apartments in Aliso Viejo, CA; not bad and some are townhouses. I suspect that people choose to buy a condo/townhouse instead of renting an apartment for a variety of reasons, and the financial benefits of home ownership are likely at the top.

I'm not wrong, I wasn't speaking about your condo. Condos are usually just apartments that have been turned into private ownership with an HOA. If they let you rent it out your renter is renting an apartment. They like to say they are renting a condo because they think it's better. Some apartments are nicer than some condos. Usually condos are better because each person can put in new appliances as they choose, but it's still just a privately owned apartment.
Not in my area. Sure, there a few dumpy apartments that got converted to condos. I wouldn't touch those. But here, at least in Columbus, most condos are not high-rises, but more like a sfh with garages, but connected with 3-4 units.

The OP asked about one bedroom condos which are apartments.
I never knew Ohio had swanky condos. It's always seemed like a cheaper state to live in,
