Sorry missed this earlier or would have answered. We weren't selling, we were buying. We walked away without making an offer. It was like a big Danger Will Robinson! House was just a couple years old, ut had already had a couple owners. Turns out the builder declared bankruptcy due to quality problems. Colo Springs. Early 90s.

I don't believe tape pulling away is normal settling. Minor cracks yes but tape separating, no. As a buyer I'd worry either moisture damage or poor tape job and how big a fix will it get into. Just a couple feet or retake and repaint throughout.
