It depends on what you mean by a "realty company". A brokerage? Then, no.

How about CBRE? Wells Fargo Home Mortgage?

I'm still not sure I understand your question -- do you mean do most brokerages own the building where their office is located?

Most brokerage firms don't double as landlords.

Some real estate companies do property management and some don’t. But I don’t believe MOST do. Most DO NOT.

I own a real estate brokerage and my main line of business is property management. On our lease agreements, the actual property owner is still named and we are listed as Agent for them. There are some reasons why a brokerage would choose to be listed as landlord on the lease, but that’s between the brokerage and the property owner. Master leasing is one reason. I don’t know much about that program, though.
