My stepfather sheet rocked over the existing paneling in their 1960 house. Don't know if that is the usual way but it looked nice and he got some extra insulation out of it. (Electric was cheap back in the 60's so houses weren't insulated as well as they are now.)
Hi guys.....so we had an accepted offer on the house, inspection was done, was just waiting for the contracts to sign......The seller then said they just took another offer. Sucks...we're first time home buyers so we thought we were in the clear with this house. Kind of blind sided

Be glad you weren't bullied into buying a house and felt regret that you were pressured to sign. Feeling is much worse. I hate that this happened to you.
