Hello,

I wanted to ask what some websites are that you all recommend for buying rural land?

I know about www.landandfarm.com, but what are some others?

Thank you

In addition to the above, these will keep you busy:

www.landwatch.com
www.unitedcountry.com
www.landflip.com
www.landhub.com

Lands of America
.com

My real advice is to find a broker in the desired area.
Buying rural land is like nothing you have done before.

Anything listed on MLS feeds to all the different sites. It's not likely you'll find something on any of those sites that you won't find on the MLS. Dave is right, have a local agent set up with MLS alerts.

If you know where you want to live, put some notices up at the bulletin boards at the local feed stores.

Many of the land websites allow owners to directly advertise their land, so there will likely be properties on there that are not listed on an MLS. Also, since most of these websites are set up to make money from advertising, I'm not sure that many actually pick up MLS feeds like Zillow does. Unlike Zillow, I think that these websites actually try to make money.

I have used www.whitetailproperties.com and thought they did a fantastic job. They have listings in over 30 states, and you will be working with an agent. I'm not sure they put their listings on the MLS; I know mine wasn't there.
