all I know is I truly hope that whoever just_because was or is does not move to NC and we have to deal with him.
I will say, the whole "practicing law" angle seems to differentiate them, but I haven't been as engaged with Cubby - here or on our little corner of CD.
The "I couldn't pass the bar exam," or "I got disbarred," or "I have a path that doesn't require a license" are just a cover and aren't as interesting as the writing, the syntax, style, the disingenuousness in ignoring fact, and general narcissism.
just_because, or a clone thereof.

Eh. What the heck.
Years ago I passed the bar...but then I walked into the next one.
I took the gmat out of college, but I never went to law school. I have an itty bitty law license in Colorado. I am allowed to fill in the blanks on the forms.

yes, I've seen that about licensed real estate brokers in Colorado being deemed to have authority to engage in the limited practice of law in terms of real estate transactions. I think that may be completely Colorado specific and not the case in other states.
On the flip side, as a Colorado licensed attorney, I would be eligible to take the real estate broker's exam after 12 hours worth of classes. I enjoy real estate discussion as a hobby but haven't felt inclined to take that kind of step.
(and btw, I am guessing you meant the LSAT and not the GMAT, which would have been for business school admission?)
