After my father passed away, my mom set out to sell their home. She was way overpriced for the market, but was too emotionally involved to see it. Even my siblings were on board with the sale price. Childhood home, too much emotion....etc. Me being the pragmatic type, dealt with the realtor as he stated his concerns. My mom was stubborn and would not budge. Lol
Long story short after finally convincing everyone that sentimental value doesn’t pay the bills and that we need to be concerned with matters of fact not what should be. House was on market for many months. Mom relented to a price change more in line with the market and house sold in a week.

Just for fun I was looking at house prices in Los Gatos, Ca. near silicon valley. Two bedroom one bath cottages were between one and two million.
Yes but Los Gatos is the most desirable location in all of the San Francisco area.
