Huh? We believe the American flag deserves respect. Our families have always served and we appreciate the traditions.

My husband is a veteran, and it really bothers him when he sees flags improperly displayed, on clothing, etc. A lot of the folks who feel the need to prove how patriotic they are by dressing head to toe in flags, using it in ads for their business, etc. are actually disrespecting it. He just shakes his head because, as he says, to him it just proves how UNpatriotic they are. He's not "triggered" by seeing the flag. He's frustrated by people's ignorance.

I'm not saying the guy in ND is doing all of that, but just wanted to point that out.

North Dakota has an American flag complaint? Run up a Norwegian flag and see what happens.

Just like CNN and MSNBC gets both sides of a story .

That said, if he's so patriotic, then he would know that in order for it to be properly displayed at night, it should be illuminated. Doesn't look like it is, yet he says he never takes it down. Funny how so many of these "patriots" who insist on respecting the flag display it and treat it in ways considered disrepectful by the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
If there is a street light or porch light in the vicinity, the flag is considered illuminated. My father had an American flag on every home he ever owned. Never received a complaint over "noise" from a flag flapping in the wind. I agree there must be more to this story.

How windy is it in ND anyway? From the sound of the complainers, you'd think there was a high force gale every night.
