Browsing real estate websites again and started to register for a few until the monthly fee pops in which I stop and delete information. Also went to a site I hadn't been in 1/2 a year.or so(free registration)Less than a day later I get a call say noticed you had inquired about so and so. Told them I was just browsing(first mistake should've hung up, worse than telemarketer, ooops that's why). Anyway they put an agent on the line for listings in that area. Ask a few questions. Then get an email thanking for choosing x service and so and so is now your agent.
That phone call didn't make them my official agent? Or if I do buy a property that was listed on their website they are entitled to a sellers commission?
The recorded line isn't substituting for paper or docu sign/e signatures in the time of virus? Is it?
Yes, once you took the call you committed them as your agent. Perhaps you need to consult with an attorney to find out how to void the agency agreement.

Even though they don't have all information, never hit ok or agreed on a disclosure? Fees and terms never discussed?
You are a victim of clickbait, trigger leads. You should stay away from all of the sites except for realtor.com If you want to know interest rates, approximate closing costs or whatever, come here on CD and ask away.
Anytime you log into a site via your google ID or FB, you are flashing a neon sign saying HIT ME UP. Stop doing that. Do not enter your contact information in any sites. EVER. Even better, cruise the web incognito.
This is a state-specific question.
But, you are dealing with morons.
Without hesitation, I would tell them to go pound sand.
Yes, those agents are looking for gullible consumers. There is an agent here whose favorite saying is "go pound sand." I don't know why that phrase cracks me up but it does.
