No. I like my privacy. I would rather hand over the property to the guy entirely, than be forced to live with someone.

Realistically, there is no strong enough emotional attachment to houses to create such a cohabitation situation, especially when you know you'll die within a few decades anyway.

Quoted for truth. This is a fantastical hypothetical that would fit better in another sub-forum. Maybe Great Debates?

Also agree that the choice of responses steers voters into claiming to be a saint or an a-hole with a few extra steps in between.

It is fully possible to morally abhor what the government has done to Native Americans while simultaneously owning and having full posession of land without having to be guilted into giving it away.

Some guy has the nerve to come up to me claiming my land, I'd think he was one of those nutty Moors tryin to seize my property and I'd call the police or head him off with a shotgun.

Get off my lawn. Sue me.

Actually, there has been a rumor in my family about there being an 'Indian in the woodpile' somewhere along the line and that we were part 'native'. I had to go back five generations, but I found it- Micmac Indian + [First Name] [Last Name]. No additional information available, apparently the Indian's actual name was not recorded...at least, not as far as I can find yet...

Not that it matters, I don't think a 1/32nd bloodline (if I'm calculating it correctly, I suck at math) garners any particular preference, but it is kinda neat to be able to say "Mayflower? Shoot, my ancestors were here before the *Vikings* got here."

If this started happening we would be back to playing cowboys and Indians for real.

But He's not trying to seize your property though. The descendants of each of you would get to co-inherit the property afterwards. Assuming he's a nice guy, you might enjoy having company all the time, and the specialization in labor of each because everyone has different strengths and weaknesses.
