It varies by size of home and location, OBVIOUSLY.
But, in your experience, what have popular home repairs typically cost ?
Like when someone buys a home with deferred maintenance due to neglectful owners, for example.
Not voluntary aesthetic renovations like kitchen or bath, but structural.

The REPAIR work itself is rarely all that much money.
The costs are usually about all the OTHER work owners elect to have done at the same time
... and making overly upscale finish material choices.

This is still NOT repair work.
But it's still susceptible to the add-on and fancy material choice costs.
What you want to look into are the USEFUL LIFE tables for those "major systems" ...
so you can calculate what work and what costs you'll be facing when you buy a house (new or used).
And why everyone tells buyers to do their inspections thoroughly.

I certainly don't consider any of these "popular". Necessary? Yes. Unexpected? Very often.
The last hole I dug was 2 feet.
See how that works?
