Omg I love your last line . I used to visit someone who lived in gulf port florida and they are right weird is the name of the game in that lil city outside tampa .
There are people who will spend big money on "unique" homes.
Lizzie Borden's house was bought and sold many times before it became a museum.
The condo where Bob Crane was murdered has also sold many times.
There is likely a long list of "unique" homes that still manage to find buyers.
True. My wife and I actually went to go look at a house that had a tree growing through the middle of it. We were intrigued and very interested. Unfortunately, we never did get to see it- we couldn't quite find it, and after peacefully resolving what was almost a violent confrontation with a red-haired woman holding a shotgun, we learned that the location was somewhat difficult to access. In the red-head's words "Y'all think yer gonna get up there on them bikes?" (Virago cruisers) "There ain't no road, yer gonna need a ATV to get up there."
If it hadn't been so late in the day we might have tried to hike up, just to see it. But the fact that there was no actual road was a deal-killer, and it was just about sunset- I didn't favor stumbling around in the dark on an unfamiliar mountainside. So, we never did get to see it, and ended up buying another place not too far away. Would have been cool, though.
The listing doesn't even mention the tree, just talks about being walking distance to restaurants, the bay, etc. Forget about the pink elephant in the room, can we talk about the giant tree in the room?
They should have had a drone picture so we could see how it looks coming out of the house. I noticed the house has two kitchens. I find the tree kind of creepy.
Before deciding about the house I'd want to know how the tree felt having that house built around it...it will probably damage and eventually kill it.
Yeah, I'll freely admit it. I'm a tree-hugger of long standing. The whimsical side of my brain says "cool"! The practical side (which does have a track record of better decision making) says "forget it"! I'm not into tree torture.
