So the new year's shaping up to be just like the old year. Checked the listings like I do every day; there's a cute little brick ranch I could live with in my most recent target city. "Reasonably" priced for just under $200k. I check the history: sold for $78k six weeks ago. I swear I didn't see this one come up; was it a private sale? And clearly to a flipper.
I spy the ubiquitous plastic flooring, although at least it's dark fake wood I could stand.

Sickening! When will this change?
What are the comps? Previous sale could have been to a family member
Yes! As you know, I feel the same way, and wonder the same thing. So many old houses have already been remuddled over the years; why can't they flip one of those, and leave the few remaining nice old houses alone? LOL.

How about a link, please?
When will it stop? When the buyer pool shrinks enough that lipstick flips don't get rewarded.
That said, what did the flipper do to increase the value in that local market?
And, what is the final sales price, which of course you don't know yet.

The flipper probably bought it directly. People call those "we buy ugly houses" people all the time.
I wouldn't freak out about being gouged until I knew what work was done. If by plastic you mean, LVP, it is the floor product trend right now so it would be in keeping with trends.
I hate to be unsympathetic with a good rant... but can we have a link? If they've invested in rehabbing an old house, including the new flooring you hate, it could well be they've earned the increase in price, by investing in a fixer and turning it into a livable home that will finance.
Is this a business you'd like to be in? Flipping old houses? Or are you looking to buy a fixer for yourself? What is your complaint, exactly?
