Thanks for sharing that article. Kind of lengthy and very scary. But definitely some very good food for thought. While I always try to keep an optomistic view of the future, a person doesn't want to bury their head in the sand either. I think it's good for us real estate agents to be informed about national as well as local housing trends and the effect the national economy (and mortgage/banking/credit crises) may have on housing. I think clients appreciate honesty much more than being told "it's all media hype". NAR is losing credibility for always putting on the rose colored glasses. Better to look at things the way they really are.
