I suppose it could be either! I'm glad I wasn't there though.

Maybe it's that guy in the NJ forum making those real estate posts.. lol

hdzup3, what time is dinner? I am sorry that those calls haven't been for you, hang in there the right buyer is out there. Have you checked the listing prices in the area lately? The reason I ask is let alone to trying to sell our home we are trying to sell my parents ( who recently passed away ) mobile home and there seems to be a price drop war going on in their park. We are going to drop the price there again this week, in this housing mess "keeping up with the Jones" has a whole new meaning!

brookdaleresident, sorry about your negative looker but as others have said maybe he is the one who really is interested or has a home in the neighborhood for sale himself, then there are buyers out there that think in this market everything is over priced.

crazyma, another great poem, I love them!

Good thoughts and prayers to all of us sellers who wait for that right buyer to make us a good offer.

We actually started packing up china and glassware yesterday that is going south, but there is no we we could do that. Maybe that's what God is waiting for......us to get more stuff packed up. Nah.......too much to hope for.

Hope you had a good time in Vegas!

Think about it, if yours was their favorite, why wouldn't they make you a low offer and try to negotiate?

Speak to your agent about lowering the price. Do it now if you can so that you get the next buyer. If you can't lower, think about offering this next looker a decorating expense
my house is priced right. Even there realtor said our home was priced right for our market and it showed well. I guess they just wanted something with a little more square footage to brag about. Also found out from our realtor that this home had just been sitting there just over 13 months and the builder threw in a bunch of incentives. not to realize we bought new had this home built almost 7 yrs ago and alot of people don't realize you have to purchase blinds and this and that. They just weren't the right ones for our home. Looking at comps we are below comps and our realtor told us just to sit tight for a bit. We had excellent feed back but they went for the incentives which were probaby all the incentives that this home already had and more. Our realtor laughed at it because she knows exactly what house they bought because she does work with alot of the newer devlopments and they still have to fence the yard and do landscaping. I personally feel they just wanted the little extra square footage and were drawn in by what the builders offered which isn't very much.

You will be coming to vancouver at the perfect time of the year, even though earlier today it felt like late fall. We have had to turn the heat on twice so far and it summer time. But as i type right now its beautiful and sunny out. Good luck on your move and good luck to your husband on his interview in P-town.

The low ball was a few days of negotiating. Felt good to have any offer at that point!

I might have to do that tomorrow. Our agent hadn't heard anything today so I assume he will followup tomorrow. We sent him the link about the $7500 rebate for first time home buyers the gov't passed. I am hoping he will pass it along to the buyer and she might feel more inclined to submit the offer. Can't hurt, right?
Are you their competition? Are your houses similar? Have you had your own open house? If not why? If OH's sell houses there, you might think to have one when you know other people in your area are having them. When we were looking to buy we hated to go out for one house and would rather go out when we knew a few were scheduled in the area that day.

The open house didn't happen today for some reason. I guess we are their competition in that our houses are roughly the same size, lot size and age. Their house, when it was listed, was 15K more than ours so I would imagine we would attract different buyers.

12 people sounds like a lot for an open house. Hopefully the ones who were complaining about the price are the ones who want to put an offer in.

Can I send you a cyber hug) I know how you are feeling, if I could sum up all these months of phones ringing, lookers, buyers, grass sniffers, offers that never appeared, etc...what a nightmare and mess...somehow we are all getting through it. Your house will sell, when the time is just right, with just the right people, but I know how it gets to you...It's like life is standing still...anyway, I am here for you to vent, cry, whatever, as is everyone else..dm or email me anytime, ok??

PS your dinner sounds delicious!!

Hey it's me, back from our Vegas field trip. We went with our friends Artie and hubby Lynn to visit friends of ours from here that just moved back to vegas a couple weeks ago. We got to see their home and then went to eat at a neat pub and casino not far from their place. It was really nice to get out, have some laughs and a beer, gamble just a little (10 worth of gamblin). But I am tired and lots to do.

Our agent said that the buyers are going to give us a few days to move out, so it will probably be monday or tusday of next week...we have most of it packed and 90% of our life is going into storage..

I just got an email from my neighbor Annie, offering to come help me pack this week. They are so sweet and such a nice couple...see, the friends are making it very hard to leave even though we know we have to go. I am probably going to be a blubbering idiot all week.

I am tired..going to bed...sounds like everyone had a decent day..will catch up in the morning...hugs)
