WHY on Earth don't realtos return calls? It's a BUYER'S market! You tthink they would be dying for business!
I am starting to look for homes and none of the realtors respond back! I have even called several in the last few days and nada..,zip, zilch! I would hate to have them representing me if I was trying to sell my own home...
Any advice? I want to move Central NJ.
P.S. I'm the one in Stink Harbor trying to get out! I have to makw sure I don't show the house during low tide.It reeks. (stink, stank, stunk!)
I just got back from a house hunting trip out of state. My agent up there was unable to get return calls from other agents to get lockbox combos for showings. Another agent in her office mentioned that he had been trying for 3 months to get a showing on a vacant house, but could not get a response from the listing agent.
I discovered that many of the offices up there are small, and the owner/broker is the only agent so you can't complain to anybody who cares. I find it annoying that the 4 houses I was most interested in seeing the agents never responded so I did not get the opportunity to choose one of them.
because they have no full time jobs anymore and are working their other jobs and do this on the side...not all but most...look at the monthly closing and you realize that they aren't making much money....not all of them, some are still doing well.
I am calling about 2 properties (here are the listing numbers).......we are interested in looking at these this weekend!
How's that for starters?? Pretty simple. Is NJ doing that well that they don't have to call their prospective buyers back?
If you were calling me on someone else's listing and left this message it would be weird to me. If they are my listings that's another story.
If you left a message stating that you were looking for a buyer agent and wanted to interview me I would respond. So either you happen to pick a couple of not so great agents, or there is something about your message that is making them think you are not worth pursuing.

That's different up here- we called a local real estate office about a listing we wanted to see (not the agent's or their office's) and he made an appt. to show it (and others) to us.
I remember emailing several agents about their listings, some got back to me but there were some that never got back to me about the property. The property is still for sale and has dropped several G's but I am not emailing them back, I guess I am angry that there wasn't a follow-up by the realtor. I don't see how some realtors deserve 3% with that kind of shoddy work and then there are some realtors who go above and beyond but they are rare...
