It's so aggravating...it's nice to know the lookers liked your home, but does no good to be told you were in the top 2 or 3. Those people never choose #3. Or even #2. Just #1 so that's what counts. Had our hopes up many times, finally told our agent to only let us know when he had an offer in hand, it's too hard getting excited and then the let down...devastating..
Hang in there, there is a buyer for every home, it just takes a while..
Must be why Starbucks is closing those 600 locations. Sellers don't need the caffeine & irritability.
Selling or not, my husband would probably say I didn't need the caffeine I probably am a sole reason for one of them closing. I was going there to study but spending 6 hours a day there and buying coffee and snacks was wearing a huge hole in my budget, esp since I am not working at the moment.
Thanks everyone for the good thoughts! I really appreciate it
Sorry for your hoping and then the disappointments. Im sure your agent wants a contract, probably just as much as you, and when positive feedback seems your in the running, than be encouraged as least your close. So stay focused, and hopefully you will get it done. Their are times, when one agent thinks they are ready to make an offer, and than out of the blue, clients change their minds, and totally select another, and sometimes that happens.
