I have realtor site I work with that e-mails me new listings under my search criteria every day. It is categorized by area. Today I got a listing that said "This is a FSBO listing, please contact the owner directly for everything."

Guess what? No number or contact info on the listing. So if I was interested, I could either: A) cross reference other realtor sites and see if there is any contact info, B) Look at the county site and see who owns it and then see if they are have a phone number listed in the white pages, or C) Have my realtor do all the work and hunt them down.

I probably would have discounted this property because the info is not easily accessed. Something to think about.

Not uncommon. But, does your Realtor's view have the contact information?
It is hysterical on craigslist sometimes, too. My favorite is when they leave a pager number, and don't have an address.

Here in DFW most agents use Centralized Showing Service (CSS) to set up showing appointments. It's simple, easy & we can set up all our appointments with 1 call.

Many Limited Service listings say to contact the owner directly for info & appointments. This is usually a red flag and more difficult to track down the owner and I suspect those listings get a whole lot less showings.

Yes, and it lists some realty name and when I Google that, I get some realtor site that is located someplace else....I'm not even sure it's an American company.

Well it is those incompetent FSBO folks that make the good FSBO's look bad........A lot of those 'what were they thinking?!!' moments...

...kind of like having a really lazy, horrible agent that makes you scared of all of them
