OMG, how funny...
We went to Cracker Barrel last night and I bought their Kenny Rogers CD they were selling in their store. I was singing that very song this morning on the way to work. How coincidental you posted about that...

"You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em...
Know when to walk away, know when to run..."

How appropriate for this market...LOL

You could even change the lyrics...
"You never count your money, 'til you're at the closing table..."

"And somewhere in the darkness, the seller, he broke even..."

(I'm officially tripping myself out on this...I will give you rep points for that chuckle)

To the tune of Margarittaville (The national anthem) Apologies to Parrotheads worldwide.

I just put the sign up
Got in my pickup
Drove back to the office to put it in view

It's a real beauty
A foreclosure cutie
How long on the market I haven't a clue

Chorus

Wasted away again around Foreclosureville
Searchin' for my next clients to be
Some people claim that it's the market to blame
But I know
It's all Schiller's fault

I pulled all my hair out
Trying to figure out
Some new phrase to make it seem new

I can't think of no stuff
To move this big cream puff
The seller is mad and at you know who

ChorusLast line changed to

It's all the Realtors Fault.

We're thinkin' 'bout short sales
Biting our fingernails
When this will end I haven't a clue

But there's news on the newsfeed
Say's were all done indeed
A brand new career has come into view

Chorus Last line changed to

But I know, It's all my damn fault

I'll work on it

(DMenscha has inspired me...)

Here's you one from the "house's" point of view...
To the tune of "Hold Me Now" by the Thompson Twins

I am a great house
Just put up for sale
3000 square feet and three car garage that's priced very well

Look at my appeal now
You'll love what you see
Walk in pantry, granite counters, and cherry cabinetry...

Buy me now
Move right in
Live in me
Let the loving start (let loving start)

You say I'm expensive
My owners don't think so-
Afterall I am priced about $200k less than they paid 2 years ago

So perhaps I should sit here
And wait for the day
A new family will find me and buy me at a price they're willing to pay

Buy me now
Move right in
Live in me
Let the loving start (let the loving start)

You ask what's the matter?
My owners have walked away
Their ARM just reset, I'm upset, because they couldn't pay

So the bank now owns me
And I'm falling apart
My landscaping is overgrown and no one will buy me and it's breaking my heart

Buy me now
Move right in
Live in me
Let the repairing start (repairing start)

Anyone else have the unfortunate coincidence of a WaMu ad popping up next to this video -- OUCH!

Very funny. And unintentionally ironic.
