However, you can end up making back that $5200.00 and then some if you get more business as a result of being known for your courteous, positive and friendly business practices.
I do just fine and I track where I get my business. I have yet to get a client from providing feedback to another agent.
BTW, I respond to all requests for feedback. Am I the one and only telling the listing agent/homeowner that the 1972 wall paper, in every room, is a huge turn-off?
I think all the agents on this forum do this as listing agents. I do not tell a buyer agent that. I will say "the home is too dated for my clients." If they can't figure out the specifics then they shouldn't be taking listings.

I think that is the point of this debate.
And saying "the home is too dated for my clients" is fine. It's giving feedback and completely fulfilling any obligation of common courtesy. Some agents give more, some even less, but is is still giving helpful feedback. I don't believe in going into a room by room breakdown of every single point either.
I wholeheartedly disagree. Feedback, after a showing, can be very useful to the seller. It can give you an idea of specifics about your home or property that people like or don't like. It can potentially lead you to fix any shortcomings that you may be overlooking. Saying that an offer is sufficient feedback is just an excuse for being lazy and a way of attempting to justify poor business manners. Sorry. As I said, common courtesy speaks volumes.
you are welcome to disagree that is why I love this forum.
I just don't think its Real Estate is rocket science.
It's about price and location. It's about cleaniness and that "home feeling" if its' a family shopping ... or its about price and trash if it's an investor looking for a deal.

Oh, sure it does! Just think about it a minute. And it made me giggle - always a good thing on a Monday.
I'm not going to even go there. I'll have debates with people I can learn from and establish a respectful give and take. I don't deal with nonsense. Thank you.
Glad I could be of service! How's that for free feedback!
