We've had our home on the market for 22 days now and have had 8 showings. Should I feel good or bad about this?

Don't take this the wrong way, but don't feel any way about it. You could have one showing and get an offer or 250 and no offer. You just never know. I know how you feel...It is stressful to have your home on the market and when mine was I stressed and constantly wondered about each showing. Then I relaxed and it eventually sold.
Hang in there. 22 days is nothing in this market. If you are priced right and decluttered and clean and your location is good, you will sell.
Lots of Luck!

It is nerve racking! Luckily I go on vacation Sunday to Disney World. We went there on our honeymoon in 2007 and we got an offer on our 2nd home (which ended up falling through), so maybe we'll have better Disney luck this time.

We've had 6 showings in 20 days. I have finally come to terms with the fact that this isn't 2002, it is going to take a while and we're not going to have showing after showing after showing. I know how you feel, selling is stressful, but selling in this market is HELL!

Just remember, it only takes 1 person!

It depends where you live too. In my neck of the woods we got 8 showings on the weekends and 1 or 2 showings each day during the week.

But, like someone else says, it only takes one.

The house we bought we looked at on a random Monday night. We weren't even scheduled to look at it. Our Realtor called 5 minutes before we showed up to see if we could look. (I know, rude of us but we have small children and can only go when we can go, lol!) He said yes but explained that the house was messy b/c of kids. We so understood. Came in and made an offer that night. (Only looked at the house for about 15-20 minutes)
And the home we sold we got on offer on a Wed...the day before Thanksgiving. I swear God was trying to chill me out for the holiday, lol!

Have a good trip and I hope some of that Disney magic comes your way!

Eight showings is great! That means your agent has priced the home correctly. Is your agent getting feedback for you and then relaying that feedback to you? That is key in knowing what consumers think. In this market the other thing I want to know is IF the potential buyer has a home to sell (in the event feedback is positive).

We are getting feedback...unfortunately, its not what we want to hear. We get priced to high a few times, do not like that its tucked behind another house, and small rooms. Other than that its good.
