Hi all! Does anyone have any websites or other suggestions for fiinding a home sold furnished? I am interested in (maybe) buying a vacation home in central Florida (Orlando area). I reside in metro DC, so it would be a huge convenience to get one sold with the furniture. Any input? Thanks!!

Most homes sold in the short-term rental vacation area's around Disney are sold furnished. If not looking for that area to purchase many other sellers around Orlando may be willing to sell furnished as well (usually upper end homes, but some mid priced as well).

Unfortunately the only way I know of to quickly narrow down which homes come furnished or not is to go through an agent, like myself, that can do a specific search for listings already marketed with furniture available, as well as use their individual knowledge of owners in the area that may be willing to do so, but haven't advertised it as so.

Try the Kissemee (sp) area... they tend to have alot of furnished vacation homes which I'm sure they would love to sell at the moment : ) Call some property management companies down that way... see if they have any listings?

Subscribe to the Orlando Sentinel online and watch the real estate ads. Lots of time people want to move out of the state or out of the area after finishing college or a family member's death and they just want to start over somewhere else. They do exist. Most of the time though, you find them by happening across them while in the area. Don't rule out campgrounds. Many have full size mobile homes permanently set up there and they make great vacation homes with all the amenities of a much higher priced area. There are several less than a 30-minute drive to Disney World.
