Barb- i think you got it backwards (or your bed sideways!) cali king is 4 inches longer, but 4 inches narrower. My husband always thought we had a cali king. so when we got a new mattress back in the fall, that's what we had special ordered (and paid extra for). when it arrived, i knew it wasnt right. it didnt fit our headboard he had made, it was too thin and you can see the headboard base at the bottom. what we had was regular king. i was soooo mad at him! besides paying extra and waiting 3 wks, i thought the reg. king sheets we had wouldnt fit, but they do, somewhat. what fits best for me are deep pocket king size, i've never actually seen cali king sheets.

Stoy, you can order the cal king sheets online at JC Penney..my mom emailed me and they have a sale starting on Friday so i told her what I was looking for, cal king sheets, light colored, at least 400 thread count, pair of extra pillowcases and a mattress pad..might need a lightweight blankie too but will wait till i see what Dogpaw actually moved down there..he isn't sure whats in the boxes..could be all tools and no linens for all i know. He said he did get the coffeemaker though..
When I was selling furniture and people who moved from the East they would always ask me where to get Eastern King Sheets and Penneys is the best place. If you have a CA king Penney's is still the best place to buy that size sheets. I always tried to sell them a new mattress set sometimes it worked but other times they just bought the bedroom set except the Bed (hd board or Ft Board). We have not had a head board or Ft Board for years I just use a lot of pillows.
Hey girl, so glad you made it back and can't wait for you to find that darn cord so we can see pics! I've been thinkin' about you and all those handsome cowboys!
