Anyone know a ballpark figure to install a new conventional ( not enhanced) septic system on a 1/2 acre lot to support a 3 bed , 2 bath ranch style house? Again not one of those newer enhanced systems that are required if your system is near a well or near a lake.
I had all kinds of septic system questions recently for our new home. I got a TON if info by calling the popular local company for the area. I would give them the details you know of, and tell them you are just looking for a ballpark range. I think they said alot depends on the soil/earth, etc, but they will be able to give you an approximate range. Some septic companies only do pump-outs and small repairs. But if you call, have your pad of paper and pen ready to take notes! They give good info!
Here in Ohio they're $13,000 to replace a broken one with a new unit. I think you could be upwards of $30,000 max, but that's just a guess and nothing more.
I think it's more like $5,000. That's the ball park figure I was given when I called around to inquire.
