Does anyone have any recommendations for commercial type metal / steel buildings? I'm putting together a proposal for my county for an animal shelter / vet hospital / grooming and sales offices, all housed under the same roof. We definitely need something very economical as this is an incredibly depressed area. I've got to propose this with numbers to back me, including the cost to build the structure, the salary for the shelter manager and on staff vet and the estimated income it can produce. The lower the price for the building, the better chances I can get this passed.

I found about a billion websites for metal buildings but have no clue what I'm looking for quality wise. I'd love upgrades if I can back them with the reason it will make sense to have it. For example, getting one that is really well insulated over one that's barely insulated. It may cost more, but the utilities will be cheaper, which eventually will pay for itself.

So, if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know!

We have always used Morton and have always been more than happy with the service & the quality. Our application has been primarily equine related, but we have put up a couple of storage buildings as well. Morton Buildings - Pole Barns, Horse Barns, Steel Buildings, Metal Buildings, Storage Buildings, Farm Buildings

I think you first have to do an analysis that evaluates existing building that could be bought / leased. In my experience the cost of almost any new structure is much higher than an existing building unless you have very specialized needs.

There's nothing in the area that would work, even with renovation to it, for the purpose we're looking at.

Thanks Racelady. I'll look into them.
