NJ, I'm so sorry to hear so many things happened to you in such a short period of time. :-( It's a shame this person just took off like that. What did your insurance company say? They should try to find this person but also fix the car at no cost to you since it wasn't your fault at all and this guy just hit your car and ran.
One of my friends had something like this happen, but instead it wasn’t a hit and run it was the valley parking at his building, they crashed his car and wanted to pay him well below the actual cost for the damages. He had to end up going through his insurance company and the company is now suing the building to get their money back. Needless to say he doesn’t let him park his car anymore! On a good note though, I’m glad nothing happened to you or your husband.

Well, we started out having a good weekend. Went to PA and on Sat. afternoon my cousin and I went to a small store....so she didn't lock her car doors....since we were about 50 feet from the car......so you know what is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were just leaving and the salesclerk said is that your vehicle right out front....my cousin said yes--she said some guy opened your car door, sat down and then got out.... so my cousin approaced the guy *who was talking on a cell* in the lot---he told her he was sorry...wrong car! LOL>..wth!!!! He had NO car I believe! trying to steal something obviously.....wow., broad daylight.. Ok my weekend gets better everyone...........

So there was 1 1/2 HOURS of sitting in traffic coming home from PA to NJ yesterday...................so we finally get over the Jersey border...............my husband said he needed gas...........so pull off the parkway into the rest area where the gas pumps are...........we weren't even near them yet...and see some idiot backing up into my car!! My hub honked the horn and the guy smashed right into our car!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband showed him the damage...and he started to DENY IT! said he doesn't know what my hub is talking about and said he didn't do ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We could tell he was drinking/on something and started using the F word several times so my husband told him he wanted his name insurance info...the guy got worse and I called 911.........GUESS WHAT!! THE LOSER got in his car and SPED OFF WITH his friend!!!!!!! HIT AND RUN! Nice, huh????We got the plate and had a witness see the whole thing! omg. Our luck.
Had to call the state police--got our statements and said he will be getting a summons in mail for an automatic 10 point violation for leaving scene of accident.... I cannot win.

Then this afternoon after coming back from NY...........a frickin tree fell right onto the right side of the road on the Parkway!! I told my hub to lock the door and stay inside................................. Poor guy is off on vacation this week too. What a nice start.......................

Hope all is well........................Off to the gym---if I dare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for the sweet words on behalf of my daughter!!More later girls. I am pooped and need to go workout!

GF, we love San Diego, I would live there if we could afford it, weather is always nice, always. We are only over the hill now, say 100 mi as the bird flies...have a great trip! Take pictures. I will be thinking of you while we are sweltering here.

My nephew lives in Oceanside so maybe we will take a day trip down there one of these days he is off work..I would love to see the ocean...

No big plans here. No parties, nada. Dogpaw's birthday is Thursday the 2nd so our oldest son will be coming out here probably tomorrow night for a day o two. We could still use some help in the garage and just using his strength to carry some boxes in for us. So will do something for hubby's birthday. We don't normally travel on holidays anyway..

I've been to SD 3 times in the last 1.5 years. If things went my way I would move there. Long story, but I may actually do that in 2010, if not I guess I'll stay in NYC, but I'm such a nomad!!
Anyway, I hope your family's birthdays are filled with happiness! Nothing better than family fun!! :-)
Taking a day off to go enjoy the Pacific Ocean sounds awesome!
