Not only is it hilarious but it is scary. Doesn't engender much trust in the person in charge of Treasury when he doesn't even know how to price his house or the basics of supply and demand as it relates to pricing.

Maybe the agent though that his fame deserved the extra asking price. Or maybe it's the blue ceramic.

He may just not be highly motivated to sell.
His current gig may be less than a couple of years, and that may put him right back into the house.

But... the video IS funny.

I think we need to introduce him to a local tile contractor...

Honestly it doesn't matter who is in office. They would all get raked over the coals, because the economy was going to tank regardless.

He is his own worst enemy. And yes, those tiles were horrible! Exterior of the home is conservative stylish and that bathroom is louder than a Hawain shirt designed by a color blind drunk.

He is no different than the majority of sellers, right now.

They seem to believe they won " immunity" from the market.

What he paid or needs out of the sale has no bearing on what the market will pay for his home.

As a side note, when things went up in price 5 years ago, people were focused on what the other guy paid. I guess it is human nature.

I sold one property $100K above what I paid for it (it was a lake home). My agent told me that the person offered less because I was "making money". I told her to tell the prospective buyer that if I find a $100 bill on the ground, should I sell it to him for $55?? I upset him and later sold to another person for my price.

That is funny! If I recall, he is not all that good at paying his taxes so who knows....maybe a foreclosure sale soon! I'd wait it out
