Finally found a home that we feel we can move right in and eventually put our personal touch after we settle in!

House built in 1985, two owners, current owner bought it 18 months ago and got divorced not long ago. Wasn't even listed for sale, our agent went knocking on doors in an area we wanted to live in and found out she was going to sell it in the next couple of weeks. Went to view it and loved it.

We have plans to redo the kitchen and extend the deck in the rear, put a hottub in (electrical already there), and put in a privacy fence (split fence with a metal mesh over it currencly). So the $8,000 we get from the government will be spent like it was intended!

I love hearing stories like this...especially since it's so darn hard to get under contract in Virginia because of competing offers. Congratulations!

Hope everything works out. I like to hear that sometimes their are still agents that will literally "shake the bushes" for both buyers and sellers.

Good Luck!
