I have a REO property listed where they used the mailing address of the property (invented by the previous owner so he could get rural route mail delivery) instead of the situs address. I warned them half a dozen times they were about to foreclose on a mailbox before they actually listened to me!

They weren't terrible until they took over Countrywide who IMO was about 50% responsible for all the crappy loans made the last few years. Too bad the Govt made them do the purchase. It's killing their reputation and business.

Nah, I agree with SF the first time. They sucked before, they just suck more now. No kind words for them from me either.

Unfortunately, the comment BofA made in the article is correct. In most cases, where mistakes like this get made, it isn't a BofA error, its an error made by the local representative they send out. In many cases, BofA doesn't even know that the agent has made the mistake.

The homeowners should be suing BofA AND the local rep.
