Oh the irony...

Yes you can sell your home yourself. Just google selling a house FSBO and you'll get information.

No offense intended but just by asking this question shows that you are not prepared to handle this transaction. Do yourself a favor and hire an agent.

You want to sell without an agent, but you need the help of the experts? The Realtors spent their time learning about RE so they could get paid to help. If you want to represent yourself then you need to learn enough to do it, so go read a book or 3 and some online articles. I'm really not even sure what to say. Did you actually think this through?

Selling without and agent usually doesn't make more money for the seller. In fact, most of the time, the home sells for less when it is a FSBO. FSBOs attract clients that are looking to get a "deal" and they will automatically offer much less thinking that the home is priced too high. In addition, buyers are often hesitant to look at FSBO homes. It is uncomfortable and they fear they will not have the help they need with paperwork and preparing a correct contract. Texas contracts have changed and lending guidlines have also changed, making transactions very details with dates that must be adhered to or a party may be in default.

Prediction--> Your home will sit on the market for 6-12 months will few showing and no offers, and you'll end up hiring a realtor a year from now.

If you are comfortable in representing yourself, will have the property listed on MLS, offer a buyer's agent commission, and use a reasonable listing price the home will sell. Don't let anyone tell you differently...the right location and the right price are the two things that homes sold. That being said, not all owners should attempt to sell their own homes and hire a realtor.

With Regards,
I guess you need an agent if you are stating "I want to sale it..."....you need some on to write the add for you and who knows what he/she is doing....because you want to "sell" your home....
