please share a sauce recipe with me.

i'm looking for one with a light bacon flavor. ultimately i'd like for the sauce to be all purpose but here in my home i'd test it out first on (cooked) vegetables. i know, i know, vegetables & bacon are on opposite ends of the health spectrum. i don't see any crime in ocassionally marrying the two. thanks

Its all in the fat. Save your bacon fat in a jar in the fridge and spoon out a teaspoon to add in place of oil. When mixed with oil or dressing it is melted at room temperature. Avoid bacon crumbles, they are too salty, and taste bitter when cooked enough to actually crumble. If you need a little "crunch" in the dish, use croutons made from baguette sauteed in butter.
