When our kids were little, we'd have a "DIY pizza night" where we could all create our own pizzas then watch videos until bedtime. I usually had leftover pizza sauce and cheese. To use it up I made:

Cream of Pizza soup

1/2 cup tomato paste
1 1/2 cup water
1 Tbs dried basil
1 Tsp dried oregano
1 Tsp dried thyme
1 Tsp dried parsley
1/2 Tsp garlic powder
1/2 Tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
red pepper flakes to taste
1 cup cream or milk

1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

Mix the paste, water, and seasonings in a pan. Bring to a near boil. Reduce heat to simmer and let it go about 10 minutes. Add milk or cream, let it come back up to a simmer. Serve with the grated cheese over the top.

FWIW, if you leave out the milk and 1 cup of the water, the remaining ingredient make a wonder pizza sauce.

Um, you made that last about six months ago, and both of them are taller than we are!

But you could make it again, you know... it's really good. Yes, that's a hint.
