2 9oz bags frozen tri-color cheese tortellini (if they don't have tri-color then use the plain cheese one) thawed out
4 cups low sodium chicken broth
2 cups hot water
2 bay leaf
2 cloves chopped garlic
1 small onion chopped
2 large carrots peeled and diced
2 tsp dried italian seasoning
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper

Put all ingrdients together in a large pot except tortellini. Bring soup to a boil and let simmer 30-35 minutes or until carrots and onions are tender. Add tortellini and cook for 5 minutes more. Soup can be frozen and used at another time, let it cool to room temperuature before freezing

Funny, I'm making this for dinner tonite and just happened to see this thread. The recipe I'm using has spinach though, and I'm using homemade turkey broth. Gonna serve them with salami panninis
