Who Loves Ya Baby-Back? Recipe : Alton Brown : Recipes : Food Network

Made 2 racks of ribs using this recipe the day before yesterday. I left out the Old Bay seasoning (didn't have any, and forgot to buy some.... LOL!) I put them in the fridge in the rub for an hour and a half to soak up some rub flavor. I used his recipe for rub and ended up using 1/4 of the rub recipe on each rack of ribs to get a good covering. I have to admit putting them in foil and moving them to the fridge was a bit unwieldy. Anyway, long story short, as prepared according to the recipe, they were freaking delicious.

I was looking at a Martha Stewart recipe which had a simpler sauce and moving to the grill to get grill marks, etc. and man, she can complicate something pretty good. I'd have to fire up the gril for 5 minutes at least to get it hot, and then a few minutes to char the ribs a bit. I bet it tastes good, though, with the char. Just too much freaking work. Maybe I'll give it a shot with the broiler or something, next time. I had actually bought the ingredients to do it her way, HA!
Honey-Chipotle Glazed Ribs - Martha Stewart Recipes

Has anyone ever tried her recipe? OR do you have a favorite recipe? Any excuse to eat more ribs, eh?

I am sure some have, but personally, I do not like her cooking or her cooking style so doubt I would try it. There are so many really good rib recipes out there, yes, Alton's is one of them. How about the Neeley's I love their rub... One thing that would probably turn me off to Martha's is the sweetness. We like a spicey rub and a sause that is bourbon based with very little sweetness, if any. Nita

Yum...we're going camping this weekend so maybe I'll l try Alton's recipe. I usually use the Magic Dust rib rub recipe I found on the internet and we love that recipe. I imagine I could cook Alton's recipe on our combination smoker/grill.
