I've made this white bean dip a number of times and it's well liked. I use roasted garlic cloves instead of raw garlic to give it more depth. Recipe of the Day: Rosemary-Lemon White Bean Dip - NYTimes.com

Here's one that's low carb, but definitely not low cal.

Cilantro Dressing

1 cup mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip!)
1/8 cup cream (not milk! not half and half!)
4 teaspoons cilantro -- finely minced
2 teaspoons lime juice
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Splenda
1 teaspoon garlic -- finely minced
1 teaspoon onion -- finely minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper -- ground
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon cumin
Add a few tablespoons of water if it's too thick for you.

If you ate the whole recipe yourself - it's 6 carbs according to Mastercook©

Cottage cheese and plain yogurt whipped together with some minced onion, parsley and dill, a squirt of lemon juice, and fresh ground pepper. Can't go wrong.

You can get buttermilk dressing or green goddess dressing seasonings from Penzeys (our favorite spice/seasonings purveyor) and mix those with non-fat plain yogurt or non-fat plain Greek yogurt to get a delicious and very easy dip. Mix it up a day ahead to let the flavors blend.

The other thing we occasionally do as a veggie dip is to make pico de gallo. You're basically dipping veggies in more veggies, but there isn't anything wrong with that. As long as the cut-up veggies are shaped to make it easy to scoop up the pico, that can be a real hit.

don't know when you need it, but if it isn't too late, a basic spinach dip using low fat yoguart or Greek yoguart instead of sour cream or mayo works great..

wow, I just posted the same idea but you beat me to it. I guess I should have read the responses before posting. You can also add artichoke hearts for extra flavor...
