If anyone has made the 7UP Pound cake which I have not, do you think I could substitute Sierra Mist Naturals pop for the 7UP?

I'm interested in the recipe as well!
I used to make a pound cake when I was younger that had 12 eggs and I can't find it anywhere!

Oh my gosh that is a lot of eggs. Do most pound cakes call for a dozen eggs? There goes my cholesterol. What--you aren't supposed to eat the whole cake in one sitting???

2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. shortening

1.5 tsp vanilla extract
3 c all purpose flour
3 c sugar
5 eggs
7 ounces 7UP
Preheat Oven -- 300
Cream margarine, shortening, sugar, add extracts, add eggs (one at a time), alternate adding flour & 7UP enging with 7UP (if it looks dry add a bit more 7UP if it looks too thin add a bit more flour)
Spray 10 inch tube pan generously
Bake for 60 minutes (or until tester comes out clean)
After it comes out of the oven leave it sit for 30 minutes then flip onto a pan (then reverse again onto a plate)
Add glaze if you like
Glaze:
1/2 7UP
3 c sugar
Bring to boil then pour over cake (poke holes in cake before adding glaze)

Does this sound familiar?
Butter Cake Or 12 Eggs Cake Recipe
I think the original "pound" cake had a pound of eggs, a pound of sugar, a pound of flour, and a pound of butter.

I have no clue because I have never made pound cake but I do not use margarine so I am using butter myself when I make it.
