I heard about this marinade...and finally tried it. It is fabu.

1 egg
1/2 cup veg oil
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 T poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
1/2 tsp salt (kosher best)

Mix above.

Pour over 3-4 lbs (more or less) chicken parts in plastic bag. Marinate about 24 hour. Sounds simple, but was created by a rocket scientist. No kidding.

B-bque and taste some fantastic chicken!

Don't think I've ever remember seeing an egg in a meat marinade. I'll have to give it a try. Do you think it would still be good baked instead of BBQ?

No, don't bake it. I think the vinegar/smoke factor is the key.

If you want to bake a chicken go to the epicurious.com site and look up the Julia Child recipe for roast chicken. The best and very easy.

I never saw egg in a meat marinade either. Try it. You won't believe how good it is. It is cornell chicken, not corning....my mistake. Google it...truly a recipe by a smarty pants in the 1930's, I think.
