I have a ton of this stuff that students gave me for Christmas; will it be ruined if I freeze it?

I think you can safely freeze chocolate without any problems. When you defrost it, it may have a whitish bloom to it but it
won't affect the taste of it.
A long time ago we received a huge gift box of cheeses and chocolates and was disappointed in the quality. I am curious to know if they have changed. Did you enjoy what you received?

I'm vegan so nobody gave me meats or cheese but I got about 12 boxes of fudge and bonbons, etc. I don't think it's vegan, either, so I thought I'd mix it all up, portion it in little bags and regift it throughout the year.

You can store chocolates at a cool room temperature... 60-70 F for 6-9 months. Freezing can double that, but quality drops somewhat because the white cocoa butter migrates to the surface and causes a white "bloom."

Here's a guide on how to do it: How to Store Boxed Chocolates | StillTasty.com - Your Ultimate Shelf Life Guide

Thank you for the information! I can give it away by then, so I won't freeze it.

As a fellow teacher, I bring it all back to school after whatever holiday & spread it out in the teacher's lounge for all, including myself , to enjoy! I also give boxes to each of the custodians & they have always been thrilled.

Happy new year to you!

I think there is no any problems to freezing candy. In fact freezing candy is more delightful rather then normal candy. I am not sure but science also prove that, if you have candy then put in your freeze.
