I just noticed a recipe online that was a grape cake with lemon sauce. I thought it sounded good, but it made me wonder why there aren't more recipes that use this abundant fruit.
Do you have any pie, cake, sauce, or muffin recipes that use grapes? Why not grape ice cream?

I saw a dessert recipe some where for a grape tart. It looked interesting.

I guess my question really should have been the why, more than the what.

I'm thinking most cooks would prefer to work with fruit types that are less of a hassle to prepare. I can certainly affirm that if a recipe calls for peeling and seeding several pounds of grapes, it will never get made in my kitchen.

Oh, totally good point. I would never peel them, and I guess I was thinking seedless, or put through a food mill to strain out the seeds and skins.
I think I will work on perfecting a grape pie, or something, and see if I can come up with something good.

Peeling grapes is easy. Drop them into a pot of boiling water for just a couple of seconds, remove and immediately put them into a bowl of cold water. Leave them for a minute or two and the skins will just roll off. Same works for tomatoes.

Recipes for grapes? I have hundreds of recipes that use raisins. Raisins are grapes.

Fresh grapes get used n fruit salads and in fresh fruit desserts like Pavlova and fresh fruit topped tarts.
