I just thought of those wonderful bacon sandwiches that I grew up with. Has anyone else had the pleasure?
I believe that tomorrow I will go to the market and buy a couple of pounds of bacon and about 4 kaiser rolls and have a feast!
I like some ketchup on mine.

I had 6 slice of bacon this morning from Greenleaf (their bacon is really thick and satisfying). No bread - just the bacon.

Man I went by the meat case today...thick cut bacon $9.00 a pack. I went over and got me some Sun Maid raisins for my oatmeal instead.

I love love LOVE bacon!!

Pennsylvania has a plethora of butchers. I live in the Allentown area where we have the Allentown Farmer's Market.
It has many Amish and Mennonite owned and run butchers and bakers.

I'll go down on a Friday morning and pick up a 1/2 pound of extremely high quality bacon from each of three of my favorite butchers there.

To top it off I usually get a peach pie from an Amish bakery there at the same time.

Concerning top quality meats it pays to live in Pennsylvania!

If all of you will please excuse me it's time for a bacon sandwich myself.

Under THOSE conditions, I think that I would rather try up some scrapple and top it with a fried egg on a sandwich ...

You're killing me. Now, close to 9 PM, I want bacon. And lots of it.
