I jusst got a slow cooker and I'm looking for good recipes.

What consistently comes out well? Chicken? A Pot Roast? Pasta?

Any good suggestions and/or recipes are greatly appreciated!

Soup! Bean with ham soup from the slow cooker is really wonderful as long as you remember not to add the ham until the last hour of cooking:

6 16-oz cans navy or Great Northern beans, liquid and all
32 oz broth of your choice -- vegetable, chicken, or water with bouillon cubes
2 ribs celery, finely chopped
2 med carrots, peeled and matchsticked
2-3 Tbsps instant onion flakes, or chop an onion if you must
several good shakes of coarse black pepper

2 double handfuls of chopped ham (or add 1/4 to 1/2 tsp Liquid Smoke)

4 hours on High or 8 hours on Low, adding the ham or L.S. only in the last hour of cooking. For a thicker soup, mash 2 of the cans of beans with a potato masher before adding to the crockpot, or use a hand blender at the end of cooking.
