If the recipe is in a magazine we receive, I look for it at the website and link from there. I will only do this with recipes we have tried.

allrecipes. That is my go to site when I want to find something new, or hear about a dish I want to make. Be sure to read the comments because often people have good suggestions to make it better.

I usually can't stand food blogs because I am just looking around for recipes ideas, not your life story. However, I do like www.smittenkitchen.com and www.foodess.com. Their musings don't bother me at all.

I also look at www.skinnytaste.com, www.geniuskitchen.com, www.epicurious.com (my first love), www.kingarthurflour.com, www.atk.com, www.cooksillustrated.com, www.cookscountry.com.

I also write a lot of recipes.

My favorites are delish.com, sallysbakingaddiction.com and Food Network.

If I'm looking for a specific dish, I will google it, & browse 3 or 4 recipes to get the idea & go from there. I agree on not wanting life history with the recipe.

I do appreciate when they offer the choice of either reading or clicking to skip straight to the recipe.
