Just in case you decide to do the pecan sticky buns at a different time, here is a link to Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond's recipe for them. I have never tried a recipe from her website that wasn't outstanding.
Haven't tried the sticky buns but here is the link.
I have a story. The last I posted, it was 3am and I was getting my dough for the Maple Bacon Rolls to rise for the last time. Having made the bacon the night before, all I had to do was assemble the rolls. I needed to have them in the oven by 4am. Right at 4am, I closed the oven door, set the timer and got ready to take a shower. At 4:11am heard a loud sizzle POP!
And the lights went out. Along with the power. And never came back on.
I couldn't believe it! The rolls were in the oven too long to just pop them in the fridge and bake later. $45 worth of ingredients wasted! As it turns out, a squirrel got into the transformer and blew it, and himself, out.
Everyone at work was very understanding and appreciated the Honey Oatmeal Banana Cookies and the Indian Ice Cream. My boss, who brought the caramel rolls and only got two hours of sleep, said she wasn't very happy with her rolls anyway. She had to close the night before and open the next morning, too. She said we should do it again but, given our schedules, we should cook/bake things that take less time, like cobbler! The good news is that I have a really fantastic boss who felt bad for me and decided to pay me out of petty cash for the $45 of wasted ingredients! He said since it was for work anyway, he was happy to do it. How great is he?
So, after all this anticipation and everyone's help, I don't have any pictures - or winners - to post. I'm so sorry. Tomorrow I'm bringing fried squirrel to work!

Ohhh, that sucks! What a nice boss to do that, though!
Well, the baking marathon has begun! The last dozen Honey Banana Oatmeal Cookies are in the oven for another minute and the Indian Ice Cream is freezing. I made all the bacon tonight and will make the rest of the Maple Bacon Rolls when I get up at 3am. I ended up combining three different recipes into one because I couldn't decide! I should be in bed by 8:30pm, after the cookies cool enough to wrap.
Pictures and recipes (if you want them) will be posted!
If I can survive until I get off work at 3pm, I will be veeeerrry happy. Coffee is my friend. After all, sleep is just caffeine deprivation. (I hate having too much blood in my caffeine system.)
ETA: Rats. I'll be carting all of this to work in the rain. (Which includes a mile walk.) :::sigh:::
Wow, I so want to work with you! I'd even pick you up and give you a ride to work! Of course, it would make my car smell HEAVENLY!
To make up for it, I made everyone a Key Lime Pie for tomorrow. I'll post a picture of that after it cools and I garnish it!
