I just made these for the kids and they are so rich and good

I love Buckeyes and I love brownies. What could be better than combining the two I couldn't wait to share this recipe so here it is

Ingredients:
1 package of brownie mix made in an 8x8 or 9x9 pan, cooled

2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 ts vanilla

8 oz chocolate chips
2 Tbl. Crisco

Make the brownies and cool.
Mix the next four ingredients until it is spreadable. You may need to add a little milk for consistency.
Spread that on top of brownies. Cover and cool.

Mix the chocolate chips and crisco and melt in microwave. Spread on top of brownies and peanut butter mixture. Cool and serve. Yum

We used to make these only we started with a pan of made-from-scratch brownies instead of a mix. Try it the next time you make them, you will love them even more!

Also we have made these in cupcake pans, especially fun for kids.

Great idea about using the cupcake pans.

I have never been able to duplicate Ghiradeli's brownie mix. Homemade brownies just don't quite taste right to me. Do you have a good recipe to share? I will try it.

I do, and I will be happy to share when I get home from work and can get it out of my recipe box.

My Grandma swears by the Joy of Cooking recipe. She says its very important to let the melted chocolate come to room temp before mixing it in.

I first had them when an aunt of mine made them at Christmas time about 35 years ago. They are really good. They are a no bake peanut butter type ball dipped in chocolate. See here:

What kind of chocolate? The recipe doesn't specify.

Brooke's Bombshell brownies from allrecipes are the only ones that come close to my beloved ghiradelii's brownie mixes. Other than that, 9 times out of 10, I use the mix. lol Easier!

I have to try this. I do the ooey gooey butter brownies version of this. (instead of peanut butter, you use ooey gooey butter cake)
