This is the tastiest little cake! Today I tried the recipe for Cinnamon Tea Cake. The cake turned out well. But the problem is in the wording of the recipe. No tin size is mentioned. Looked at the picture and guessed it was a 20cm tin. But cake only rose to 2.5cm, as tin was too big. So it is like a slice. The temperature given was 160 deg., for 20 minutes. I gave it 20 mins. at 170, then raised it up to 180, for another 8 mins. Also nothing said about greasing and flouring the tin. Experienced cooks know to do it. But if someone who is new to baking just poured the batter in ungreased tin I'm sure they would have a disaster of cake stuck to tin. This might put them off baking for life. So I think it is very important for those sending in recipes to make sure all the info is there. Hope anyone who decides to try it reads my review.
Maybe, but that recipe says to line and grease the tin. OP said nothing was mentioned to grease or flour the tin. Also it was specific to which size pan to use, something OP said it wasn't in hers.

I noticed these measurements are European ones like I would use in Germany for example. All my German baking books give these type of measurements and the temperature is also according to the European stoves. 180 C is 350 F which I use in most of my German baking. For some cakes I don't grease or flour the forms. You did nothing wrong, how could you know this recipe was in European measurements And yes this cake is delicious
